Hi! I’m Nicole – a 20-something Floridian transplant by way of a New England city. I love fashion, got my career start in marketing, so I thought, why NOT bring together the best of both worlds and share my outfits in the process?

Biz & Brunch chronicles my new adventures of being in the fashion industry where I run the day-to-day marketing operations for an apparel company. Also, as an added bonus for any of my career girls out there, I thought it would be a good idea to offer some digital marketing tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years as well. After all, we are talking business here.

Thanks so much for reading and always feel free to drop a line- nicole@bizandbrunch.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Nicole in A Nutshell

WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?

A combo of my two favorite things- and what consume my time the most: business and brunching. Bloody Mary’s and any kind of Eggs Benedict for the win.

FAVORITE BRANDS

Topshop, ASTR the Label & BaubleBar

FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP

Nordstrom. You have clothes, a coffee shop, a RESTAURANT, and home goods. All in the same place. You can’t go wrong with that. Ever.

FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB

Reporting and analytics, which is ironic because I hate math. But it’s exciting to drive results for something you’ve built, and see performance overtime. I also love to know behaviorally what people are drawn to and/or what items are trending. The outcome can always surprise you.

MARKETING SPECIALTY

Social Media. My first job out of college required me to manage its social channels. Brands were JUST starting to advertise on Facebook. It was an emerging field, so I completed certifications at top schools to get in as much technical knowledge as I could. So that… coupled with my passion for captioning a pic on Instagram is serious, serious business.

TYPICAL BRUNCH ORDER

I’m somewhere between a Southern Benedict or Pancake of the Day kinda girl depending on my mood. Shoutout to Public House on that one.

NORDSTROM's spring trend report is here. Sporty neutrals, glossy metal and more.
